A Week in the Life of Two Little Ladies: Day 1

We are gearing up for Thanksgiving, which is going to be at our house, so things are going to be a little chaotic this week as we help Momma and Auntie with all of the preparations.  So while we are off being busy, we'd thought we'd give you a little glimpse of what a typical week looks like for us lately.

We like to:
Practice drinking out of cups like big kids.  This usually ends up with a mop coming out...but at least we are doing our part to keep the floor clean.

Birthday Balloons!

For AK's birthday, we blew up some balloons as a surprise.  While we waited for her to wake up, we had a little fun with them ourselves.

I wanna Rock and Roll All Night....

AK had to test out some equipment that she was planning to using for a fundraiser.  She wanted to make sure she knew how it worked before she got to the venue.  Apparently, all she had to do was ask Amelia and Emma.  All of this happened without any prompting, from any adult...  All that was missing was a smashed guitar and pyrotechnics.  #rockandroll

The Real Deal

We got to go on our first legitimate Trick or Treat this year, and it was AWESOME!  Momma, AK and Auntie Green took us out.  We had so much fun knocking on doors and yelling surprise.  One lady even told us that we were the cutest kids she had seen all night, and let's be honest, we tend to agree.  Its funny though, we scored so much loot, but the next day we couldn't find it anywhere.  Might need to talk to Momma about that....

Pre-Game

Now, we may have a slight reputation for having spontaneous parties, so it shouldn't surprise you that we had a little Halloween eve get together.  It gave the girls a chance to practice shouting Trick or Treat!!  They ended up saying Surprise! instead, but hey, what's the difference...

Strike a pose, chicken style

I See Dead People....

To celebrate the spirit of Halloween, we thought we'd share a funny little story.  A couple of weeks ago, Uncle Mike, Uncle Joe, and our good friend Muyly watched us while mom and dad were at school, and auntie and grandma were at a meeting.  We had a great time with them, and they were pretty tired by the time auntie got home.  I am not sure Uncle Joe will be looking to watch us again anytime soon...Now, how can that be you ask, since we are so AWESOME?  Well, I think we scared him a little bit.  We overheard his conversation with auntie, and it went a little something like this:

UJ: (in a quiet voice) Hey, so I think that Amelia was talking to someone...
AK: What do you mean?
UJ: Well, uh...I think maybe she saw a ghost...
AK: Um, what do you mean?
UJ: Well, you see...we were playing, and then all of a sudden she ran over to the corner, and started talking, and moving her arms wildly, and gesturing, and laughing...but there wasn't anyone there...
AK: Can you show me?
UJ: (walks over to the wall, and re-enacts what he saw, then asks) Do you think she was talking to a ghost?
AK:...silence...
UJ: Cause I've heard that little kids can see ghosts and dead people....
AK:...silence...
UJ: It really freaked me out..
AK: Um...she was showing you how she makes shadow puppets.....Jen taught her that today....
UJ: Oh...

Time to lay off the scary movies Uncle Joe!
