Working 9-5

One night Auntie forgot something at work, so we kept her company on the ride back to Hartford.  It was late, and rather than wait in the parking garage, we took the elevator up to the 15th floor to see Auntie's desk.  We entertained ourselves for a little while with a stress ball, some hand sanitizer and a water bottle, but then it was time for us to get down to some serious business.

The mouse was ringing off the hook!

Can't you see I have a lot to do here Ma!  Enough with the pictures.

I'm never gonna meet this deadline!

Multi-tasking!

Grocery Store Ride

In case you haven't noticed, the girls LOVE rides!  So it was only a matter of time before they asked to ride a grocery store pony.

Nothing modern about this horse.  He was looking PRETTY vintage.

Grocery horses are AWESOME.

I'm a natural!

Well, heehaw!

I'm Gonna Have to Call the Police......

The biggest thing I have learned over the past year, is that these girls are quick.  They move faster than you can react and before you can jump up and stop them, they are burning their hand on a dehumidifier or getting their foot caught in a cozy coupe trailer hitch...

The story went something like this.  The girls were in the living room playing with their cozy coupes, when Emma thought it would be fun to slip her foot into the trailer hitch.  And while it went in very easily, getting it out was another story.  It wouldn't come out..at...all.....  Grandma called Uncle Mike to come help, and advised that if he didn't come, she would need to call the police.  Flash forward 15 minutes later, when Derek made an unexpected stop home on his way to class and noticed that Uncle Mike's car was in the driveway...and....it was parked sideways.  He walked in the front door to find Grandma on the floor holding Emma, foot still attached to the cozy coupe, and Uncle Mike with a screw driver taking apart the car.  Grandma looked up to see Derek, and said oh, thank god you're here.  An electric drill, screwdriver, and 10 minutes later Uncle Mike and Dad were able to save the day, and we didn't have to call the police.

Good thing Uncle Mike thought to take a picture!

Holyoke Carousel

My friend's daughter recently turned one and we were invited to celebrate with them at the Holyoke Carousel.  All of the guests were treated to unlimited rides and needless to say the girls loved that!  It's also worth mentioning that we'd rate the speed of this carousel a 10.  I don't know the exact speed - but boy was it fast!  Thanks for inviting us Lauren!

The Sweet Birthday Girl Brynn

We can ride as MANY times as we want?!?!
Check me out!

Woo hoo!!

Woah!  This thing is fast!!

I LOVE Carousels!

Ma, can we take him home?

And of Course...

No trip to Six Flags is complete without trying out some rides!  The girls were about an inch shy from riding most of the other rides, so next year should be a lot of fun!!

Notice the HUGE smile on Emma's face!

Six Flags

Auntie Fran, Uncle Bill and Angela invited us to Six Flags so we could check out Trick or Trick street. This was a section in the park where kids could go trick or treating and meet a few different characters.  Technically, this was the girls first trick or treating experience since Halloween was canceled last year due to the storm.  They weren't sure at first, but quickly got the hang of it!

So wait, you're giving me candy?

I could get used to this!

Sure, we'll pose with the witch, if it means more candy!

High Five Miss Alien, thanks for the candy!

(Note to concerned grandparents, no candy was actually consumed by the girls.  The grown-ups ate it all)

Breakin it Down

Over the last few months, the girls have really gotten into dancing.  They dance to commercials, to their musical toys, the radio - you name it, their dancing.  So it was only fitting that Mr. Gym was playing a gig while we were at Brown's.  The girls weren't shy about showing off their moves.

I think Mr. Gym is about to break it down

Oh ya, it just got real

Brown's Harvest

We really enjoyed our time at Brown's Harvest last year, so we decided to make a trip back this year.  As we predicted, with the girls running around now, this place was even more fun.

Pumpkins need love too

This looks like a good size Dad.

This will look great on the porch!

I got this!

The hayride might need a little extra

Tis the season for apple cider donuts

 Which way to go?!

Our biggest ride yet!

Somehow we convinced Mom, AK and Auntie Green to take us on the big Ferris Wheel at the Durham Fair.  We are happy to report that there were no tears!
Woah!  That's a big ride!

I'm not so sure this was a good idea guys!

I'll keep you safe AK

I see you guys are having a good time, but we're getting pretty high here!!

It just keeps going and going!

View from the top, where we got stopped.  Yikes.
