Ready to dive in.

2nd swimming lesson

Both girls were able to swim for the second class. It was a much happier experience for not only us, but everyone in the pool too!

Emma swimming with her Auntie.
Toys were introduced this time which made swimming so much cooler!

Amelia loves the water. Loves to kick. And loves to drink pool water.

So happy together.

1st swimming lesson

Before the class:
Things looked promising, Emma picked out her bathing suit
and was eager to get in the pool.

During the class:
Not so promising, she screamed the entire class...

And where is Amelia?

Sitting on the sidelines with Emma's fan club, sick with croup.

Swim Emmy, swim!

Amelia, what does The Count say?

When we read to the girls, we like to add in little extras here and there to keep it interesting. When we get to a page with The Count from Sesame Street we will say "One, Ah Ah Ah. Two, Ah Ah Ah. Three, Ah Ah Ah." The other day while reading to Amelia she started making the "Ah Ah Ah" noises all on her own as soon as she saw him. So smart.

Food Treasures

The girls love to leave plastic food as little treasures in our bags, shoes, and suitcases. Plastic pasta, plastic taco's, plastic bagels. It's always cute to discover what the next treasure will be. Yesterday I got a text from Uncle Mike with a picture of what Amelia left in Muyly's purse. A real (non-plastic) atrophied carrot. Not as cute as a plastic carrot would have been!

Snow day

The girls finally got to use their sleds outside! Despite the mean mugs, they did seem to enjoy themselves.

The surprise continues.

After surprising Auntie in Boston on Saturday night, we had to say goodbye so she could get ready for her 8am flight the next morning. While eating breakfast at the hotel, we got a surprise of our own. A phone call from Auntie asking if we could come pick her up at the airport?!?! Apparently, an hour into her flight the captain announced they were losing cabin pressure and he needed the plane to turn around. So lucky for us, Auntie was able to join us at the Children's Museum that afternoon. We all had a really fun day!

Fun climbing up the rope ladder.

Fun crossing the wobbly bridge.

Fun learning our letters.

Fun learning Chinese symbols with Dad.

Fun climbing through tunnels.

Fun with bubbles.

Fun driving cars around and making our "car" sound.

Fun getting soaked in water tables.

Fun splashing in the puddles.

Not so fun sitting in the puddles.

Fun playing in the sand.

Even more fun putting sand down Aunties shirt.

Not so fun eating sand.

A Surprise for Auntie

AK was away on business for three weeks in a row. One week in Paris followed by one night in Boston and then two weeks in Bermuda. That's the longest she's gone without seeing the girls! So as a surprise, we drove up to Boston to spend the night with her. She had no idea what we were up to and was completely surprised when two little girls knocked on her door.

Waiting for Auntie, will she ever get here?!?!

Reunited and it feels so good.
