Christmas Eve Fun

Before the Christmas Eve festivities began, we thought it would be fun to let the girls make their own Christmas Trees out of frosting, candy and ice cream cones.  It was a big hit, with a lot of snacking along the way!

Seeing the Tree for the First Time

We decorated the tree one night after the girls went to bed.  We figured it would be easier to assemble without four little extra hands "helping".  Seeing their face the next morning when they first set eyes on the tree was priceless!

Da Da is going to Japan for about 10 days, leaving today.  We'll miss him!  Bring us back something fun!

Welcome to Moe's!

The Disney Channel had been advertising "Sophia the First" for several weeks, and we thought it would be fun to let the girls watch it.  It is a children's movie about a little girl who becomes a princess. We thought we would make it a special night for the girls, so we ordered them Moe's (cheese quesadillas), set up tv trays, and watched it together. Such a fun night!

  

Elf on the Shelf

It's that time of year again...for our Elf on the Shelf, who we've named Chilly, to make his appearance.  This year, the girls have taken an interest in him.  They don't fully understand why he is there, but they love to wave to him, blow him kisses and show off for him.  And let's face it, Mom and Dad have fun thinking of new places to put him.  Tonight, we have him parasailing on the living room ceiling fan.

We love to craft, and color.  For Halloween, UJ got us these awesome markers, which we love to play with.  And even better that they are washable, so its no big deal if we get them on the table...or our clothes....or our face!  As you can tell, coloring is serious business.

We are gearing up for Thanksgiving, which is going to be at our house, so things are going to be a little chaotic this week as we help Momma and Auntie with all of the preparations.  So while we are off being busy, we'd thought we'd give you a little glimpse of what a typical week looks like for us lately.

Practice drinking out of cups like big kids.  This usually ends up with a mop coming out...but at least we are doing our part to keep the floor clean.
